EXERCISE:
I'm a fan of
interval training and feel strongly that it is a safer way to
workout plus exercises your entire body's physiology. The AP
Press just ran this story (click
here to see) which does a pretty good job explaining this
form of exercise.
I recommend you
check out the http://www.crossfit.com website to learn more.
I work with a
personal trainer (click
here to see Ron Gordon's website) to assist me in learning how to do
this type of workout safely and efficiently. I highly recommend using
a personal trainer for any exercise system in which you are not
an expert.
Click here to see a list of
workouts (ie. 'Fight Gone Bad') that have become standardized throughout the
functional exercise community. You can scale these workouts to
what you feel you can perform safely.
NUTRITION:
To start, I
recommend 3 basics when using vitamins and other supplements:
1) Take a multivitamin 3 times throughout the day.
2) Take
Omega-3 Fatty Acids (EPA-DHA, Fish Oil)
3) Take a
Magnesium, Vitamin D and Calcium combined supplements.
I can help you
with detoxification regimens, and developing a plan to
help you return to a healthier body composition.
Body Composition (BIA,
Bioimpedence Analysis):
What is your % of lean muscle and
% body fat? It's my opinion that the "cut-off" for what's
a safe body composition in men is 75% muscle and 25% fat.
I have a special machine that measures these numbers for you.

With Bioimpedence Analysis (BIA) I can
tell you many things about your body's composition.
1. Metabolic Rate
2. Fluid Distribution
3. Lean Muscle Mass
4. % Body fat
5. Phase angle
